Pain Management Training Courses

Pain management is a relatively new branch in medicine and is growing very fast. But pain fellowship & training facilities are not easily available all around the world. At Daradia these facilities are available. Doctors from different specialties from all over the World have been benefited from our courses.  Our all courses are directed and continuously supervised by Dr. Gautam Das MD, FIPP. He is currently Chief Executive Editor of Indian Journal of Pain, which is the official journal of ISSP (Indian chapter of Internation Association for Study of Pain.)

Excellence in Pain Practice

Daradia: The Pain Clinic has been awarded Excellence in Pain Practice award for Multidisciplinary Clinical Pain Practice by World Institute of Pain (WIP) based on our pain center’s achievements as mentioned in WIP's letter dated 6th Jan, 2011.. "This professional designation is being conferred, because your pain center excels in areas of pain medical practice deemed by WIP to be synonymous with a multidisciplinary pain practice, based on your pain center’s achievements in clinical pain practice, training programs for physicians and non-physician personnel, and clinical and basic science research; with special qualifications for your pain center’s impact on the specialty of pain practice in local, national, and international networks."

It was first time in Asia and till now only once in India. No other pain clinic in India has achieved this award too. 

Best Pain Clinic

Daradia: The Pain Clinic received "Best Pain Clinic" award by ISSP (Indian chapter of International Association for the Study of Pain) at Chandigarh at Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research in Feb 2011. Governor of Himachal Pradesh, India, Her Excellency Urmila Singh awarded certificate and trophy. It was the first time and only once in the history of Pain Medicine in India.

 Successful Events at Daradia:

#We organised two WIP endorsed Interventional Pain Practice Review courses and workshops in 2009 and 2010.
#We were invited as scientific co-partner by Iranian Society for Regional Anesthesia and Pain Management
at their first International congress from 15-17 Sept 2010.

It is the first multidisciplinary Pain Clinic at Kolkata with the facilities of diagnosis, treatment, research and training. This clinic has a multi-disciplined team dedicated to the management of pain based on comprehensive approach to each patient as individual needs.   • Dr. Gautam Das MD, FIPP

    Director of the center, Pain Specialist
    Dr. Gautam Das is a leading Pain Specialist of the country. He did MD in Anaesthesiology from Calcutta University & stood first. Later he was trained in interventional pain management. He visited many pain clinics in India & abroad. He passed FIPP examination in 2007. He introduced many interventional procedures first time in India. His main area of interest is teaching of pain management. Conducting different courses since 2007. More than 700 doctors from Australia, USA and most European, African, Latin American and Asian countries have joined his courses. He served as Chairman of World Institute of Pain of India, Iran, Pakistan and Sri Lanka chapter from 2007 to 2013.
    He is chief editor of Indian Journal of Pain (official journal of Indian chapter of IASP). He has been invited several times at International conferences as guest faculty outside his country. He is an examiner of FIPP (Fellow of Interventional Pain Practice) examination and has been invited at pain fellowship exam at USA and Netherlands. Visiting faculty of Pain Management at Padjadjaran University, Bandung, Indonesia. This University has started short course on Pain Management in collaboration with Daradia Pain Clinic, Kolkata. His pain clinic was awarded “Best Pain Clinic” by India Society for Study of Pain(ISSP) in 2011, this was only once in history of ISSP and “Excellence in Pain Practice” by World Institute of Pain for 2011-2015 period.
